Pepita de ouro extraída ilegalmente
A análise preliminar conduzida pela Polícia Federal revelou que a pepita de ouro de 39 gramas encontrada na posse de Valdemar Costa Neto, presidente do PL, é uma peça rara de colecionador e foi extraída de um garimpo artesanal fora do território brasileiro. Esta pepita foi apreendida durante uma operação de busca e apreensão da PF em uma das propriedades de Valdemar. A informação é do jornal O GLOBO.
Os peritos, por meio de análises técnicas, determinaram que a morfologia da pepita não se assemelha ao solo ou formações rochosas da Amazônia. A PF, por intermédio do programa Ouro Alvo, mantém um banco de amostras de perfis auríferos que possibilitam a identificação da origem do ouro confiscado em operações.
Os especialistas concluíram que a pepita é rara devido aos indícios de ter sido extraída com esse tamanho da chamada “rocha mãe”, algo incomum, pois o ouro é normalmente encontrado em fragmentos menores. Isso reforça a suspeita de que a peça tenha origem em um garimpo artesanal, onde os processos de extração são mais delicados e não envolvem explosivos, ao contrário da mineração industrial.
Além disso, os técnicos sugerem que a rocha mãe da pepita seja de formação recente, o que indica possivelmente origem próxima a cadeias montanhosas, como os Andes na América do Sul ou a Costa do Pacífico nos Estados Unidos e Canadá. As rochas na região amazônica, em contrapartida, são mais antigas.
A análise da PF ainda está em curso, com a pepita submetida a um acelerador de partículas para detectar a presença de outros minerais incrustados, fornecendo mais detalhes sobre sua origem.
Em uma investigação anterior, amostras colhidas na reserva indígena Yanomami não coincidiram com os perfis da pepita encontrada na residência de Valdemar.
Segundo um laudo preliminar, a pepita possui um teor aproximado de 91,76% de ouro, avaliada em cerca de R$ 11,6 mil. O documento afirma que as características da pepita indicam que se trata de um produto aurífero primário, retirado diretamente da jazida, sem processamento, típico da atividade de garimpagem.
“As características da pepita de ouro mineral, tais como o alto teor de ouro, textura, granulometria e a sua composição química e mineral, indicam que se trata de produto aurífero primário, proveniente de retirada direta da jazida, sem processamento, típico de atividade de garimpagem”, diz o documento.
Valdemar Costa Neto foi alvo da Operação Tempus Veritatis da PF, que investiga um suposto envolvimento do ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro (PL) em uma trama para permanecer no poder e impedir a posse do presidente eleito Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Na ocasião da apreensão, Valdemar teve sua prisão preventiva decretada por posse da pepita sem origem conhecida e de um revólver com registro vencido, mas foi liberado no dia seguinte. A defesa de Valdemar preferiu não fazer comentários sobre o assunto, afirmando apenas, na época da apreensão, que a pepita era de “baixo valor” e estava guardada como uma “relíquia”.
“A defesa do presidente nacional do PL Valdemar Costa Neto afirma que não há fato relevante algum e que a pedra apreendida tem baixo valor e não configura delito segundo a própria jurisprudência”, disse a defesa do presidente do PL.
